Oh thats cool!!! I see you won the goods!!
Good to see you luv β€οΈ
Wow. Iβve just sat and watched this video from the Afloat Project β Creative Regions 2013/2014 and Iβm honestly overwhelmed.
As the project manager, I canβt believe how much we achieved together β so many creative projects, so many connections, and so many incredible people who stepped up when our region needed it most.
Anyone who knows me knows that by the end of this project I was emotionally spent. Watching this today has brought a lot of that backβ¦ and yes, Iβm writing this with tears streaming down my face.
What really hits hard is seeing so many of the places in this video facing flooding again right now. Itβs heartbreaking. But it also reminds me of something powerful β when the waters recede, our communities rebuild. And when itβs time for creative recovery, we must invest in the emotional healing of our region and our people.
This video is 22 minutes long, but it captures so much β trauma, resilience, creativity, and the determination of a community that refuses to give up.
If you have the time, I encourage you to watch it. Let it remind you of the strength that lives in our communities and the incredible things people can do when they come together. As we face challenges again, perhaps it can also give us the strength and hope for whatβs ahead.
I couldnβt be prouder of the team I worked with, the people I met along the way, and the strength of our region.
We can all make a difference. π ... See MoreSee Less

Stay safe and help each other xDue to the major flooding event currently impacting Bundaberg, the Bundaberg Business Womenβs Network has made the difficult decision to postpone EmpowerHer MarketFest 2026 which was scheduled for this Saturday, 14 March.
The event will now be held on Saturday, 9 May 2026.
While we were very much looking forward to bringing everyone together, we feel it is not appropriate to hold a celebration at a time when many people in our community are facing the impacts of flooding and displacement from their homes.
Our thoughts are with everyone affected. We know many of our members, stall holders and guests may wish to spend this time supporting those in need, whether through helping with clean-up efforts, checking in on neighbours, or offering support where they can.
To our amazing stall holders, sponsors and supporters β thank you for your understanding and ongoing support. We will be in touch soon with further information.
We look forward to bringing our community together for EmpowerHER MarketFest on 9 May. π ... See MoreSee Less
